La Petite Jumelle designed an object as the New Year’s corporate gift. That special custom-made object was an environmental wake-up-call for 2019. A box – case that contained a series of coasters made of laminated black paper sheets.
The design concept was successfully curated by the award-winning creative agency Caparo Design Crew, the idea was to spread the environmental awareness message, but with a friendly look and feel way. A fish, a tree, a cloud and planet earth were rendered on the coasters with hotfoil stamping method, their main feature: the sad face. By flipping the coaster, the recipient discovers a message which is directly linked with the sad face of the character on the front! In the same way, if he rotates the coaster 180°  the message is a set of positive ideas and thoughts an individual could take  in order to contribute towards a better environment. So, by flipping the coaster again the characters have smiley face .
The partners who received the gift were impressed by the interactive connection between the front and back of the coaster, where the characters could also be used as emoticons or status indicators within the work environment.
